About this tool
Preparing identity papers, passport photos, or visual designs for formal submission often requires combining images into a standardized document format.
Mathematical Aspect-Ratio Scaling
To prevent image distortion (such as squeezing or stretching) when fitting custom pixel dimensions inside standardized layout grids, our rendering compiler calculates and applies proportional scaling multipliers:
Where:
- Wpage and Hpage are the active dimensions of the selected target page layout (A4 vs Letter).
- m is the user's custom page margin in millimeters.
- wimg and himg are the raw native width and height parameters of the input image.
This formula maps your images into perfect vector page dimensions while keeping your original private photos completely safe inside your local browser container.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Image to PDF Converter.
What image formats can I convert to PDF?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), and BMP are all supported. Multiple images can be combined into a single multi-page PDF, with each image becoming one page.
Can I set a custom page size for the PDF?
Yes. Choose from standard sizes (A4, A3, Letter, Legal, Tabloid) or enter custom width and height in millimetres, inches, or pixels. Margin settings let you add whitespace around the image on each page.
Does the converter preserve image quality?
Yes. The conversion embeds images at their original resolution. The quality slider controls JPEG compression for the embedded images — set it to 95–100 for print-quality output, or lower for smaller file sizes.
Can I combine multiple images into a single multi-page PDF?
Yes — drag and drop multiple images and they become individual pages in the output PDF. Reorder them by dragging before converting to control the page sequence.
Is my image uploaded to a server during conversion?
No. The entire conversion — including rendering images onto PDF pages — uses the jsPDF and pdf-lib libraries running locally in your browser. Your images are never transmitted to any server.
